Understanding Attendance Reports & Analytics

TL;DR: EduSuite OS generates real-time attendance reports — daily summaries, monthly trends, class-wise comparisons, and individual student histories. Export as PDF or Excel for records.


Available Reports

1. Daily Summary

  • Go to Attendance → Reports → Daily.
  • See today's attendance across all classes.
  • Drill down into any class for student-level detail.

2. Monthly Report

  • Go to Attendance → Reports → Monthly.
  • Select class, section, and month.
  • View a calendar grid: each day color-coded (green/red/yellow).
  • See each student's monthly attendance percentage.
  • Export as PDF for parent distribution.

3. Class-Wise Comparison

  • Go to Attendance → Reports → Class Comparison.
  • Compare attendance rates across all classes.
  • Identify classes with consistently low attendance.

4. Student-Wise Report

  • Go to Students → [Student] → Attendance.
  • View: total present/absent/late days, attendance %, absence dates.
  • Generate an individual attendance certificate.

5. Absentee List

  • Go to Attendance → Reports → Absentees.
  • Select date → see all absent students across the school.
  • Useful for daily absence follow-up calls.

6. Trend Analysis

  • Go to Attendance → Reports → Trends.
  • View attendance trends over weeks, months, or the full year.
  • Spot seasonal patterns (e.g., low attendance during festivals).

Exporting Reports

All reports support export:

  • PDF — For printing and filing
  • Excel — For further analysis
  • CSV — For bulk processing

Click Export on any report page.


Scheduled Reports

Auto-email attendance reports:

  1. Go to Attendance → Reports → Schedule.
  2. Set: Daily absentee list → Principal's email at 10 AM.
  3. Set: Monthly summary → All class teachers on the 1st.

Troubleshooting

Q: Report shows 0% attendance for a class. A: Teachers haven't marked attendance for that class. Check Attendance → Today's Log for marking status.

Q: Attendance percentage seems wrong. A: Verify the working days configuration. Holidays and non-working days might not be correctly marked.
